Govt Ministers like Mr. Gadkari and Mr. Piyush Goyal have been repeatedly declaring 2030 as deadline for 100% EVs. Is there some substance in that.

Such statements can at best be seen as directional than goals. Some Ministers have indeed been talking out of turns for converting into 100% EVs even before the 2030 deadline.  Lately some statements have appeared in the media retracting the earlier stand and talking about 30% vehicles being electric by 2030. Who is authorised to make such statements is also not clear. A clear objective statement backed by authentic government sources has yet to be pronounced.
