Startups do not have much potential in EVs, is it so?

Creating a complete and sizeable value chain from development to SCM (supply chain management) to manufacturing, marketing and servicing needs needs lots of resources. Unless startups are solidly backed by investors, it is difficult to create a meaningful integrated business in EVs.

There are however opportunities for startups to creating a complete product with a distinctive technology, specially a low investment product like a two wheeler and sell its design/engineering  to the big boys. Power train components and eco system are two exciting areas where startups can really flourish, be it a better BMS (battery management system) or a new technique of thermal cooling of batteries or higher efficiency motors, charging infrastructure or smart connectivity.
