  • Electric Buses Will Take Over Half the World Fleet by 2025. The number of electric buses will triple within seven years, and virtually all of them will be in China. The total number of electric buses in service is forecast to more than triple, from 386,000 last year to about 1.2 million in 2025, equal to about 47 percent of the worldwide city bus fleet, according to a report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
  • Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd on Saturday won an order to supply 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to Bengaluru-based fleet operator Baghirathi Travel Solutions Pvt. Ltd through its subsidiary Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd, Mahesh Babu, CEO of Mahindra Electric said, describing the order as “one of the biggest in Indian corporate mobility”.
  • Airbus Venture Begins Testing Its Autonomous Flying Taxi :Vahana, the electric autonomous flying vehicle in the works from the venture arm of Airbus in Silicon Valley, is officially off the ground. The new aircraft, which looks like a mashup of a flying car and a racing drone, took a 53 second maiden voyage at its Pendleton, Oregon-based test site last Wednesday, proving the initial viability of the technology.Eventually Vahana wants to make its technology “the first certified passenger aircraft without a pilot,” allowing a passenger or cargo to be autonomously be carried between checkpoints on predetermined paths – much like a subway carries passengers between fixed stations.
