Learn how DCDC converters work with this hands-on learning kit from MakerMax.
Kit contents
1. Custom DCDC shield from MakerMax
2. 12V power supply
3. Arduino Uno or similar microcontroller board
The DCDC shield by default is designed to work with the Arduino Uno base microcontroller. If you would like to use a STM32 Nucleo as the base board, kindly let us know by emailing support@makermax.ca after completing your order.
Can be operated in buck or boost mode by changing parameters through code
Duty Cycle Control
Voltage Sensing and sampling module
Current Sensing and sampling module
Write your own control loops in software for constant current, constant voltage, constant power
Can be operated in both synchronous and non-synchronous modes for both buck and boost.
Onboard potentiometer that can be used to act as an input to the microcontroller.
Two onboard push buttons that can be used to interact with the microcontroller
Output voltages from 1-20V
Output current upto 2 A
Operates on a standard 12V input supplied through a wall adapter.
Compatible with Arduino Uno,STM32 as a shield that fits on top.
Switching Frequency of 62.5Khz
Sample Code for this shield is available here

Gustav Magnusson –
I bought this board to use as a portable power supply for my miscellaneous sensors and motors.
Working great so far, even has a current limit feature that is super handy to keep everything safe.
Best thing about it is the ability to control it however you want using your own software.
